colors but keep in mind that the slot canyons are underground conduits for rain
water and can flood rapidly during thunderstorms. The Navajo who run the canyon
will lower rope ladders in an emergency but it is best not to enter when there is any
threat of storms even when the storms are miles distant.

Getting to Little Antelope Slot Canyon:
Traveling to the slot canyons by air, a convenient starting place would be Las vegas Nevada where you
can pick up a rental car. An option is Phoenix Arizona.
From Phoenix or Las Vegas head towards the Grand Canyon North Rim/Marble Canyon. Take
Antelope Pass before you reach Marble canyon and climb to 6,533 feet elevation where you will have a
great view of the valley of the Colorado River. From the pass you have a long downhill glide to Page Arizona
where you might be thinking mirage when you see the enigmatic towers of the Navajo Power Plant on
Route 98. They loom over Antelope Canyon. Follow the road toward the power plant and watch for Little
Antelope Slot Canyon on your left before you reach the plant.
