At the eastern end of the Cape Cod Canal, the open Atlantic Ocean means a stop to the paved road that runs 6 plus miles beside the canal.
A small lot near the base of the bridge and paid parking at Scusset Beach State Park are in the north side of the east end.

Biking to Scusset Beach

Continue on Route 6 for all locations on Cape Cod or go to Route 6A for the slower scenic route through the villages. Routes 6 and 6A join in Orleans and go to the tip of Cape Cod.
