On the Tuesday after Easter each year, the people of Eygalieres form a procession and carry the likeness of the martyred Pope St. Sixte II towards the chapel dedicated to the 3rd Century saint.
The people are accompanied by Camargue Guardians on white horses and men and women dressed in the costumes of 18th Century Arles
The nearby town of Mouries holds an annual festival with bulls running in the streets and arena,non-lethal bull fights.

The Saint Sixte Chapel stands near the Orgon road about a mile from the Les Oliviers Campground.

Several sites near Eygalieres offer cliffs: Orgon, Aureille, Mouriès. the campsites post location information. The woods and trails can be closed at times due to fire danger particularly July, August, and early September.
The hills near both the Les Oliviers and Les Pesquie Campgrounds are laced with marked trails for hiking the Parc Naturel Les Alpilles.
The Walking Trail GR-6 passes just southwest of Les Oliviers campgrounds and west of Les Pesquie near Eygalieres Village.
Roman Ruins can be found on the trails particularly in the area of Fontvieille and Arles where a Roman aqueduct fed a water-powered grain mill.
Cycling and mountain bike routes can be found on the back roads between Eygalieres and Les Baux de Provence, St Remy, and Mouries.
