Bus tours along the Seine reach the Museums
The bus stops are covered and placed in convenient locations near the Seine River.

The tour buses are double decked , yellow or red buses with a hop on, hop off ticket good for one day or two..

Museums in the center of Paris can be reached by walking, tour bus,  or by the boat tours on the Seine.  
The Batobus boat cruise on the Seine  lets you get on and off at eight docks near sites of historic importance and makes a handy way to reach the museums.
Stops include Notre Dame, Jardin des Plantes, Hotel de Ville, Musee du Louvre, Petit Palace, Eiffel Tower, Musee d' Orsay, Institut de France.
Notre Dame Cathedral has no entrance fee except for the tower climb
Paris free museums include the Petit Palace, free except for special exhibits.  Closed Monday)  The Petit Palace displays paintings and sculpture.

free admission to the permanent exhibits on the first Sunday of each month
The Musee d Orsay (closed Monday)  and the Orangerei (Closed Tuesdays) have extensive impressionist collections.  These museums are within walking distance of one another along the River Seine and the Champs Elysees.

In the same area along the Seine, you will find Notre Dame, open for visits without entrance fee and St Chapelle, famed for its stained glass windows. (daily 8 Euros)

March, April, May, and June are good times to go to Paris for walking the city, museum visits, biking outlying regions, and the culinary vacation.  The weather in Paris is temperate from March to May  (50-75 F) and the city will not be too crowded.  
  • Summer
July and August are high season and the time when many Paris shops close for vacation.  Accommodations could be scarce in June July August.  some restaurants and shops close the month of August.  
  • Fall
Weather is good in September October, great months to visit Paris.  
Showers could come in any month but will be of short duration.  Snow is rare
