The town is walkable and many museums and antique houses are within a few minutes walk of the John Carver Inn and the Radisson Hotel, both located near Plymouth's main street and the dock where the Mayflower is open for visitors.

One of the nicest walks is through the park just south of the Radisson and John Carver Inn across from Plymouth Rock.  Walk along the stream that first attracted the Pilgrims to the Jenny Grist Mill.  Along any walk you will see many elegant old house converted to Inns and bed and breakfast lodging and several antique houses open for visits.

vehicle to reach the Plimoth Plantation,  about three miles outside the harbor along the coast to the south.
Plymouth & Brockton shuttle runs service between the harbor and the Plimoth Plantation.
Train and bus service reaches Plymouth from Logan Airport.
Visitors to a day trip by boat to Provincetown at the tip of Cape Cod.  Bicycles are welcome aboard for those that want to tour the Cape Cod dunes by bike
