Sur Bus (ADO) runs between Puerto Escondido and Pochutla. (ADO Station on Route 200)
They cover the forty miles in about 90 minutes
or less.

Ask the driver to let you off at the Zipolite/ Mazunte crossroads and catch a collective camioneta from there to Mazunte or you can stay on the bus until you reach Pochutla. Find collective taxis a block north of the bus station. 12-15 Pesos
The collective taxis are not allowed to pick up passengers on the main street in front of the bus terminal.  Find them a block to the right or at the crossroads of Route 175 and Route 200. 

From Pochutla you take a taxi or
collectivo/camionetta (shared taxi) for the six
miles to Puerto Angel/Zipolite Beaches

Puerto Escondido is served by OCC buses that run from the ADO terminal in Oaxaca City to Huatulco, Pochutla and then to Puerto Escondido.

ADO Bus, First Class Bus Service

ADO Bus runs first class buses out of Mexico City Terminal Central Norte, Tapo Terminal, and Tasquena Terminals to cover a good portion of southern Mexico to the Guatemala and Belize borders .
ADO also covers north along the Gulf Coast to the US border in Tamaulipas State and east to the State of Veracruz.
Platino and GL service offers a higher level of service, more legroom, fewer seat, faster trips.

OCC Bus

OCC Bus is a division of ADO that covers Oaxaca to the Pacific Coast, Puerto Escondido, Tapachula, and San Cristobal de las Casas.
At Tapachula the Tica Bus uses the same terminal as the OCC buses.
Tica Bus runs service to central American cities as far south as Panama City.  Buy tickets through ADO.

Cuenca Bus

Cuenca Bus serves from Oaxaca to Tuxtepec directly over the Northern mountains on Route 175 through the town of Benito Juarez

ADO, First Class Bus Service, Pacific Coast

OCC Bus from the ADO terminal in Oaxaca City reaches the Pacific Coast at Huatulco via the Pan American Highway, Route 190.  The bus route then goes north to Pochutla on Coast Road 200.
The route then goes Northwest along the coast to Puerto Escondido.
This will be an OCC Bus leaving from the ADO first class station in Oaxaca City.
Buses can be cold, bring sweater, hat, ear plugs for sleeping

ADO serves Puerto Escondido from Oaxaca city via OCC buses.  In most cases you just show up to buy your ticket; the buses are never crowded except during the Christmas and New Years holidays and Easter Vacation.

Reach Mazunte and Puerto Angel's beaches from Oaxaca on OCC first class bus (ADO First Class Terminal, Oaxaca) by first going to Huatulco and then north along the coast road Route 200.
In Pochutla get a taxi or camioneta which picks up and drops off passengers all along Calle Principal, the road that runs parallel to the beach villages.  Find collective taxis a block north of the Pochutla bus terminal or at the crossroad of Route 200.

ADO Buses run regular service to Palenque where they have a first class station.
They reach Merida from Oaxaca City (Sunday Bus Only) where you make a connection for Chichen Itza

Estrella Blanca Bus runs first class Futura Buses and Alta Mar buses on the Route 200 bus route between Acapulco and Puerto Escondido, Pochutla, and Huatulco. 

Coastal Bus
A local bus, Sur Bus, (ADO)  is available in Puerto Escondido at the ADO terminal near the Super Che store for service to the city of Pochutla where taxis, collective taxis, and camioneta connect to Zipolite, Mazunte, and Puerto Angel. Sur connects Puerto Escondido, Pochutla, and Huatulcowith hourly service

ADO
runs first Class bus service to Tapachula and San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas from Pochutla and from Oaxaca City. Buses between San Cristobal de las Casas and Palenque stop in Ocosingo for the Ruin Site of Tonina and go over the mountains to Palenque. From Palenque make connections to Yaxchilan, Tikal, and Bonampak
