Groupo Estrella Blanca is one of the largest bus systems with many lines
operating out of Mexico City's
Terminal Norte.
Depending on the destination and your own choice you could travel on Estrella
Blanca's  
Futura buses (Autobuses Expresso Futura),  Chihuahuenses, first
class buses with deeply reclining seats and leg rests, or several others.  
A different line,
Omnibus. which also runs buses as far as the US border runs
from Terminal Norte and uses many of the same terminals as Estrella Blanca
along the route. Omnibus service covers as far west as Tijuana/San Diego and
as far east as Matamoros/Brownsville on the Texas border and includes many
border towns in between.
